Many new users to Bodhi seem to have the same questions, so here are the answers to a few of them.

Why are there so few applications installed?
Part of the Bodhi Linux philosophy is minimalism and user choice. We feel that our users are intelligent enough to choose what applications they want, and we provide an easy way to do so at the AppCenter. We also feel that it is easier and better for you to build the system you want from the start, rather than having to remove a lot of applications you don't want and/or need and then install the ones you want/need.
You can learn more about installing additional software from the adding software guide.

Why does Bodhi Linux use Chromium Browser?
When we polled our users asking what the default web browser should be, we found them split between Firefox and Chromium. This meant regardless of what we picked, some folks would have a large browser install they didn’t care for. Chromium aims to be safer, faster and more stable all while being fairly lightweight, which fits in with the Bodhi Linux philosophy. Chromium also has the ability to install applications directly from the AppCenter, a feature that some other browsers lack. Bodhi Linux 5.1 uses the Epiphany Web Browser. *It should be noted that in 2012 Epiphany was re-branded as Gnome Web, however, to avoid confusion with Gnome Desktop or similar and as the underlying application binary is named epiphany-browser, the Bodhi Linux community will rightly/wrongly continue to refer to the browser as Epiphany Web Browser
What is the release roadmap?
The release roadmap can be seen here: Release Roadmap
Support FAQs

Bodhi eBook

Where can I find the Bodhi eBook?
"Bodhi Linux 6 - The Complete Guide for Beginners" (ISBN: 9781005193270) is an excellent eBook publication from Bodhi forum member JollyRoger, aka Roger Carter. It's available (free) at www.smashwords.com and comes in a variety of formats: pdf, epub, Mobi (Kindle), and more. The eBook covers a variety of topics ranging from Getting Started; Covering the Basics; and Enriching your online/offline Bodhi experience, to Streamlining and Customizing the Moksha Desktop - which is the main business/focus of the eBook. A great read and a valuable point of reference!
Forum

Where can I find the Forum
Click the following link to access the [library term="forum"]
Helpful information to share when posting on the forum
Posting the outputs from the commands
inxi -Fxpmrz
and
sudo inxi -m
will be helpful to the Bodhi Linux team when you ask your question
How do I mark a problem as "[SOLVED]"?
As the Original Poster (OP) of a problem in the [library term="forum"], and if the problem has been solved to your satisfaction, it is helpful for you to mark it ”
[SOLVED]
”.
To do so, navigate to your first post in your thread in the forum. Click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the post. Suffix the thread title with: "
[SOLVED]
". Alternatively, if you say your issue/s has/have been resolved, a Forum moderator will happily mark it for you! Thank you!

FAQs

Chromebook Sound Issues
A few users who have had issues with sound on Chrombooks have found the following fixes the issue. Add the following line to the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.
options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=2
If that does not work, replace that line with this one:
options snd_sof sof_debug=1
Save and reboot.
How do I delete my Forum thread?
So you figured out the answer to your own question in the [library term="forum"] and want to delete your thread? You can't, and that's actually a good thing. What you can do is say how you solved your problem and mark the thread as "
[SOLVED]
". (See the above question for how to do that.) Why? Instead of thinking about how the thread you made is about just helping you, see it as an opportunity to help someone else with the same problem. Chances are, someone will face the same issue. Even if you found a thread just like yours with the answer, your thread may be found more easily. (Even by you, if you get the same problem in the future and forget what to do.)
How do I upload a picture into a Forum post?
The forums only allow image uploads via links to a 3rd party hosting provider, from services like Photobucket, Imgur, ImageShack, etc. Using ephoto (Bodhi's default picture viewer) is a good place to start. Open the picture in ePhoto, right-click for the menu, click or hover -> file -> upload - you will be asked if you want to upload the picture publicly to imgur.com. - select Yes. Once the upload is complete, you will be offered an URL that you can copy and then paste.
Bodhi Live Chat (Discord)

How do install Discord?
There are a number of methods available to access Discord. For light / casual use and a must for those of you're using 32-bit Bodhi Legacy (as native Discord apps are 64-bit only), the recommended approach is to use the Discord web app from within your browser. Access is via the link: https://discord.com/app For more active users of discord (you must be using a 64-bit variant of Bodhi, ie: Standard / HWE / App Pack) you can install the Discord package via a CLI by running the following commands in Terminology.
sudo apt update

sudo apt install discord
Once installed the Discord app can be found under Main Menu>Applications/Internet
What is the Live Chat (Discord) Invite link?
The Bodhi Live Chat / Discord channel invite link is: https://discordapp.com/invite/pvB7MSf
Getting Involved
Need something to do? Want to make a difference by getting involved with the Bodhi project? Read about “Getting Involved” for some ideas. We always welcome assistance and we enjoy showing people new things!
FAQ's

Where can I find all the FAQ pages?
Follow this link for a complete list of all FAQ pages in this wiki Bodhi Linux Home
Bodhi Linux – Wiki Home Page
Bodhi Linux – Wiki Table of Contents
